Sixteen garba grounds you can walk into.

Immersive puts you on a garba ground at night, with a band, a crowd and the circle moving with the song. Three venues are open. Thirteen more are being built, and you can already dance in them.

Being built

You can dance in these already. The first time you enter one, a signboard says it opens fully very soon.

Obsidian Edge

An open basin on another world, under a ringed planet.Short echoes off the terraces round you and the rock behind the band, nothing overhead.

Radiant Dome

A canopy of red ribbons radiating from a lacquered mast.Open air under a canopy of cloth: the ribbons soak up the highs, a short soft tail, a little off the towers.

Chitra Aangan

A lime-plaster floor under great trees hung with light.A quick slap off the panel wall and the low walls, the leaves above soaking up the rest.

Voltage Lab

A warehouse of brick and steel with a turning LED mandala.A big hall of brick and steel: a long bright reverb, a slap off the far wall, the roof's metal ringing a little.

Chandra Van

A moonlit banyan garden with a white marble floor.A garden among great trees: the leaves take the highs and the echoes, a soft short tail, water close by.

Vrindavan Courtyard

An old sandstone courtyard under the Milky Way.Stone all round: quick, bright slaps off the arcades either side, the open sky taking the rest.

Tulip Grove

A garden clearing lit by hundreds of tulip lamps.Open air among trees: the leaves soften everything, a short, dark tail.

Lotus Amphitheatre

An open bowl of eight stone tiers lit cyan. Many short echoes off the steps all round, the sky open above.

Vadodara Vision 2047

Vadodara a hundred years on, among neon towers.Hard echoes off the glass facades, late and spread, the city humming under it.

Jyot Chowk

A cream stone courtyard lined with diyas.A walled stone court: bright slaps off the terraces and arcades, the jharokha wall throwing one back from the far end.

Tideglass Terrace

A marble terrace over the sea under a huge low moon.Open to the sea: nothing throws the sound back but the waterfall wall on one side, the surf under everything.

Jyot Shikhar

One great light sculpture in an open plaza. An open plaza: the metal tower rings a little, the pavilions throw back a short echo.

Kutch White Rann

A circle out on the white salt under the moon.Flat open salt to the horizon: nothing at all throws the sound back.
