Jyot Shikhar
One great light sculpture in an open plaza.
Being built. You can already dance in it.
Up front by the band, with the crowd around you and the circle clapping behind.
The place
One great light sculpture in an open plaza: a tower of blackened metal in the middle of the circle, four pierced cones stacked over a steel drum with a ring of gold light under each rim, throwing a mandala of dots, trishuls and diamonds across the floor through haze. Low pavilions of glass, stone and wood round the plaza, and the band in the far pavilion.
- The sound
- An open plaza: the metal tower rings a little, the pavilions throw back a short echo.
