Voltage Lab
A warehouse of brick and steel with a turning LED mandala.
Being built. You can already dance in it.
Up front by the band, with the crowd around you and the circle clapping behind.
The place
A warehouse of brick and steel with arched windows, warm light washed up the brick, a sawtooth roof strung with neon, mezzanines with lounges and bars, and a round LED floor where a mandala turns in magenta, cyan and violet inside a ring of white light. LED towers and screens, moving heads and lasers in a violet haze.
- The sound
- A big hall of brick and steel: a long bright reverb, a slap off the far wall, the roof's metal ringing a little.
- Watching from far off
- You stand at the near balcony's rail and look down over the floor.
- From the air
- The view stays under the roof.
