Two centuries of temple bells in the heart of Manama.

Established around 1817 by Thattai Bhatia merchants who sailed between Kutch, Sindh, and the pearl islands of Bahrain, the Shrinathji Temple in Manama is the oldest Hindu temple complex in the Arabian Gulf. For over two hundred years, Navratri has been celebrated here with peace, royal Bahraini tolerance, and deep devotional joy.

Temple Heritage: The Gulf's oldest sacred courtyard.

In the narrow alleyways of Manama's Old Souq, the Shrinathji Temple stands as a monument to cultural coexistence. During Navratri, the temple courtyard glows with brass lamps as devotees circle the central shrine to classical Gujarati folk hymns.
